1. Assumes responsibility for the implementation of effective IT strategies and policies.
a. Assists Senior Management in developing short and long-term IT objectives, goals, and strategies.
b. Ensures that IT plans, goals, and polices are consistent with established Credit Union-wide goals.
c. Oversees system design, development of new IT products, and integration of present systems with new technology.
d. Ensures that IT operations are cost effective, efficient, and within established budget constraints. Works to properly align Credit Union priorities with available resources.
e. Establishes and coordinates the implementation of IT disaster planning strategies. Ensures proper backup and security measures are in place.
2. Assumes responsibility for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of all information systems products and services.
a. Ensures that all information systems are functioning properly and receive timely maintenance as necessary.
b. Directs the installation and setup of new systems and ensures that all designated requirements are met.
c. Ensures that system uptime and functionality exceeds established IT goals.
d. Identifies, evaluates, and recommends new technologies. Interfaces with vendors and suppliers to stay well informed of current IT developments.
e. Directs the procurement, setup, and running of hardware and software for Credit Union needs.
3. Assumes responsibility for ensuring professional customer relations with all external contacts. Revision Date: 12.12.16 Information Technology Analyst Page 2
a. Maintains professional relations with trade contacts and auditors.
b. Ensures the effective coordination of user needs with IT resources.
c. Ensures quality customer service and problem resolution at all levels.
d. Promotes goodwill and a positive image of the Credit Union.
4. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with internal staff and IT users.
a. Ensures the IT needs of internal staff are met with reliable systems.
b. Ensures effective communication between IT staff and system users. Obtains and conveys information as appropriate.
c. Coordinates activities of departments and commitees to facilitate optimal IT services.
d. Ensures the timely completion of reports, records, and other documentation as required.
5. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
a. Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
b. Stays informed of trends and developments in information technology.
c. Completes special projects as assigned.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or related area of study.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of systems integration.
Excellent understanding of related hardware and software including server applications, networking environments, firewall, Internet applications, etc.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two or more years of related experience.
