Congratulations to all of the Teacher Grant Program Recipients!
We have recently awarded (17) WCCU Teacher Grant Awards, totaling just under $8,000, for the 2020/21 school year. Grants were awarded in values up to $500 to the following local Teachers or Staff members:
Chariho Regional School District:
(3) WCCU Teacher Grant recipients are from the Chariho Regional School District:
Grant monies will help fund educational and social projects, including initiatives such as ‘Virtual Grow Garden', 'Use Multisensory Material', and 'First Robotics Competition'. |
Exeter-West Greenwich Regional School District:
(5) WCCU Teacher Grant recipients are from the Exeter-West Greenwich Regional School District:
Grant monies will help fund educational and social projects, including initiatives such as 'Tree-Plenish Project', '3D Prosthetic Hand Printing', 'STEAM through Literature', 'Maybe Something Beautiful', and 'Scintillating Sketchbooks'. |
Narragansett School System:
(3) WCCU Teacher Grant recipients are from the Narragansett School System:
Grant monies will help fund educational and social projects, including initiatives such as 'New Pre-School', 'Communication Boards for School Setting', and 'Through Others Eyes'. |
North Stonington School System:
(1) WCCU Teacher Grant recipient is from the North Stonington School System:
Grant monies will help fund educational and social projects, including initiatives such as ‘Alice in Wonderland Performance'. |
South Kingstown School District:
(1) WCCU Teacher Grant recipients is from the South Kingstown School District:
Grant monies will help fund educational and social projects, including initiatives such as ‘A Walk on The Wild Side’. |
Stonington School System:
(3) WCCU Teacher Grant recipients are from the Stonington School System:
Grant monies will help fund educational and social projects, including initiatives such as ‘Connecting to Community Virtually', 'Marvelous Magnets for Learning Grammar', and 'Beautiful and Brilliant Night Sky'. |
Westerly Public Schools:
(1) WCCU Teacher Grant recipient is from the Westerly School District:
Grant monies will help fund educational and social projects, including initiatives such as ‘Opera in World Language’. |

Why do we do this program?
WCCU recognizes the importance of education and respects the Teachers, Administrators, and Staff who work hard every day to create lessons that excite, engage and promote learning. Our grant program encourages learning opportunities outside of the existing school funded curriculum and enhances our commitment to our local communities.
Who is eligible to apply?
Teachers, Administrators, and Staff from the following school districts are eligible to apply: Chariho, Exeter-West Greenwich, Narragansett, North Stonington, South Kingstown, Stonington, and Westerly.
