FAQs

Westerly Community Credit Union is a full-service credit union serving all of Rhode Island and Windham and New London County, CT. In order to open an account, you must live or work in one of these areas.
  • If you open your account in the Branch, you will receive your Debit card immediately. We can create and print them in the Branch. 
  • If you open your account online, then you debit card will be mailed to you within 7-10 business days. 
WCCU will reimburse up to $20 of “foreign” atm fees (other institutions fees) per month when you bring in a receipt to one of our Branch Offices. You can submit ATM receipts for reimbursement once per month.
You can open a Overaft Line of Credit or you can link a WCCU Savings account to your Checking account which allows you up to 6 transfers per month and only charges a $5 transfer fee per transaction. 
There are no monthly service charges if you enroll and maintain direct deposit  totaling a minimum of $500 per month. If direct deposit is not maintained there will be a $5 monthly fee and you will be ineligible for cash back that month.

Free Credit Report Review

We can help you reach your financial goals. Start with a Free Credit Report Review at WCCU.
1) You can earn 3% Cashback on PIN or signature based transaction amounts up to $333 per month with maximum earnings of $10 per month paid at the end of each statement cycle. The funds will be granted after 5pm on the last day of each month. ATM transactions, money order purchases and peer to peer payments are not eligible for cash back rewards. Cash Back benefit is available if the following requirements are met: deposit $10 to open account, enroll in eBanking, establish a monthly direct deposit totaling a minimum of $500 per month, activate eStatements and use a WCCU debit card.  2) Direct deposit is available up to 1 business day early dependent on the timing of our receipt of the direct deposit instructions. 3) There are no monthly service charges if you enroll and maintain direct deposit. If direct deposit is not maintained there will be a $5 monthly fee and you will be ineligible for cash back that month. Maximum of one cashback checking account per member.
