WCCU Donates $13,500 to Local Area Food Banks

WESTERLY, R.I. – 11/25/2025 – Westerly Community Credit Union (WCCU) announced a total donation of $13,500 to nine non-profit organizations dedicated to addressing food insecurity, homelessness, and basic needs for community members across Rhode Island. Each organization will receive a donation of $1,500 as part of WCCU’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the financial health and well-being of the communities it serves.
The recipient organizations are:

- Jonnycake Center of Westerly: Assists people through crisis situations and helps them move toward self-sufficiency by providing food, clothing, and emergency financial assistance.
- WARM Center Westerly: Dedicated to providing a continuum of care to the homeless and those in need by offering affordable housing and supportive services.
- The Supper Table: Providing nutritious meals to those experiencing hunger.
- North Kingstown Food Pantry: Provides emergency food assistance to residents of North Kingstown.
- Coventry Community Food Bank: Works to alleviate hunger and provide food assistance to Coventry residents.
- Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center (PNC): Provides comprehensive community resources, including a food pantry, to help neighbors through crisis and toward self-sufficiency.
- Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island: Meets the nutritional and social needs of homebound older adults and other at-risk residents so they can maintain safe and independent lifestyles.
