WCCU Donates $15,000 to the WARM Center

WESTERLY, RI [1/12/2026] – Westerly Community Credit Union has donated $15,000 to the Westerly Area Rest Meals (WARM) Center rehabilitation project of a two-family property, creating two spacious 3-bedroom apartments for local families experience housing insecurity.
The funds will support the renovation costs necessary to transform the blighted structure into high-quality, safe housing. These units will be incorporated into WARM’s family housing program, where families may reside for up to two years, while working to secure permanent affordable housing. Once completed, the new units will serve up to four families annually, advancing WARM’s mission to break the cycle of homelessness through housing-first solutions.
